2GO Travel inaugurated on Thursday a ticketing office within Pier 1 in Cebu City for SuperCat fast crafts plying the Cebu route.

The move makes it easier for passengers to book trips on SuperCat vessels travelling from Cebu to destinations like Manila, Tagbilaran in Bohol, Ormoc, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Romblon, and Masbate, a company official said. Angelito M. Salvio, 2GO general manager, said SuperCat ships now use the CPA Terminal 1 along Quezon Boulevard in Cebu City for docking as well as passenger check-in and boarding.  The CPA Terminal 1 is located near Fort San Pedro in Cebu City.

He added that they stopped using the 2GO Passenger Terminal in Pier 3 as of October 16, 2014 upon the instruction of the Cebu Ports Authority (CPA), which will be renovating the facility.

“SuperCat passengers are happy because they prefer it here. The CPA Terminal 1 is one of the best facilities in Cebu today,” he cited.

SuperCat customers who were unaware of the sudden transfer and still went to Pier 3 were brought to Terminal 1 by shuttle buses.

The number of passengers that still go to Pier 3 has lessened, however, added Salvio.
