A technology start-up has teamed up with an award-winning chef to create the first ever online only restaurant Snappy! at www.snappy.com.ph to provide flavorful, chef-crafted creations in a snap.

Snappy! Co-founder Ryan Tan said during the virtual media launch on December 11 that they hope to revolutionize the food industry by making available delectable menu choices in big servings and affordable prices from a cloud kitchen.

According to him, one thing that changed with the Filipino mindset because of the pandemic is they have discovered the conveniences and possibilities of technology and got on the e-commerce bandwagon.

Delectable menu choices

“The concept behind Snappy’s dishes is to take good flavors from my hometown and combine this with Cebuano favorites in a different way. Its flavors are familiar, we just take pride in the ingredients we use and how we serve it,” said Chef Bruce Lim.

The crab pincers, for example, is a family recipe of one of the Snappy! founders with some modifications, he cited. Another must-try is the fried pusit with salted egg glaze. Lim added that he will be continuously innovating the e-restaurant selection and regularly coming up with new offerings.

For now, the Snappy! menu carries such delectable dining staples as barbecue ribs, braised pork, Southern Country American-style fried chicken, steamed chicken with mushrooms, chao fan, steamed fried rice, butter garlic shrimps, and crab relleno. Pizza orders come in large 18-inch sizes and include flavors like chorizo, aloha, and high-5 cheese.

15% off on orders

Snappy! is offering a 15 percent discount on food orders until December 31 with the code: SNAPPYLAUNCH. Orders are accepted from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily with deliveries within Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City and Consolacion.

According to Tan, the restaurant has its own delivery fleet and also makes use of third-party services to ensure that customers enjoy their food orders on time. Standard delivery fee is P50 but free for orders P750 and up. He added that their goal is to use technology to provide next-level food delivery experience.
