With Cebu accounting for the largest motorcycle community in the Visayas, Shell picked it to host one leg of the Shell Bike Fair 2017 held last Saturday at the SM Seaside City.
“It’s one way for us to thank our bikers for always supporting Shell,” said Recca Menchavez-Malabanan, Shell Advance Brand Manager during a press conference held before the event. “It’s also a day for us to recognize the different bike clubs.”
The event also highlighted the recently launched Shell V-Power fuels and Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil.
“The two brands are any bikers’ reliable companion on the road: Shell Advance allows for a smoother ride by protecting the engine from wear and maintaining clean pistons, while the new and improved Shell V-Power is designed to deliver both performance and efficiency,” the company said in a press statement.
“The bike fair is, for us, about listening to our consumers on what they want and they like traveling,” said Serge Bernal, Shell Lubricants Marketing Manager.
Recca Menchavez-Malabanan, Shell Advance Brand Manager, gave journalists and bloggers a rundown of the advantages for bike owners to use their motorcycle oil. She said the Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil is the “complete package that offers complete protection for the bike.”
She said the formulation of the oil offers the key benefits of protecting against engine wear and high temperature while increasing fuel economy, cleaning the pistons, and retaining horsepower.
The bike fair was held at the SM Seaside Skyhall. Shell gave away a lot of prizes including 3 new bikes: a Yamaha Aerox, Suzuki Raider, and Honda CBR 150.
