NST Pictures brings 40 years of experience creating cinematic wedding films to Cebu and launches a place for “all things wedding” in line with its goals to help grow the industry in the country.
The BG Bridal Gallery has a showroom that serves as a one-stop-shop for brides and a website that brings together wedding professionals in one convenient spot.
Tony Wakiyama, chief executive officer of NST Pictures, said the strong growth of the Philippine economy has also created an opportunity in the wedding industry.
“We’ve created one million wedding films over 40 years. We want to bring this expertise producing cinematic pictures to Cebu. Our films are artistic and made like a short movie, something that one would want to keep for a lifetime,” Wakiyama said.
Located at the lower ground floor of the FLB Corporate Center in the Cebu Business Park, the BG Bridal Gallery hosts a wedding library, bride’s room, and the film studio of NST Pictures.

NST Pictures, which started operating in Japan in 1976, expanded to the US in 2011 and the Philippines through Cebu in 2013. The BG Bridal Gallery in Cebu City will be open to the public on September 1, 2016.
To provide a different perspective to the wedding experience, the BG team will hold a series of boot camps this month. “The boot camp will help every bride plan their dream wedding. We want them to enjoy planning their wedding,” added Wakiyama.
Wedding industry growth
The average cost of a wedding in the Philippines is P335,000 and, with its rapidly growing middle class, more people are able to afford this, according to Rob Valeria, BG Bridal Gallery America director for business development.
Based on a research conducted by NST Pictures, more than half of the current population in the Philippines are of marriageable age and that close to half a million couples tie the knot every year.
“We need more wedding professionals in the Philippines. NST Pictures wants to be here, in the beginning, to help grow the wedding industry for the next 20 years,” Valeria said.
Wedding films by NST Pictures cost from P30,00 to P75,000. The P30,000 rate already includes two cinematographers to shoot the wedding and comes with a video output edited on the same day. For P45,000, couples can have an additional feature film. The P75,000 package comes with a feature film and a 2-hour documentary film.
