Two things made my Hong Kong trip in early February 2016 unforgettable: the cold surge and ultra plush accommodations in one of the Marco Polo Hong Kong-Hotels.

The Marco Polo German Bierfest will feature a giant transparent marquee in a location that makes the most of the stunning Victoria Harbour views and guests will be entertained Bavarian-style.
They can expect traditional Bierfest fun, food, and follies and enjoy all night dancing and drinking. German band Notenhobler will play traditional tunes.
The Bierfest will serve the world famous wheat beer Erdinger, which dates back 130 years, and a special edition Erdinger Oktoberfestbier is produced once a year for the festival.
Marco Polo’s Stay and Prost package also offers late 3 pm checkout and guaranteed room upgrade to next category.

Marco Polo’s scented staycation, on the other hand, is in collaboration with the Paris-based Guerlain Parfumeur and involves a host of exclusive privileges.
Guests who avail of the Guerlain-themed deluxe suites up to October 31 will enjoy Aqua Allegoria amenities, including fragrance, shower gel, and body lotion.
They also receive a Guerlain travel size gift bag, one per room, and Guerlain Perfume welcome drinks at Cucina.
Additional privileges include access to the Continental Club Lounge with full benefits plus a bottle of champagne and one set of chocolate strawberries per room.

Wine and Dine stay
Marco Polo also adds a special layer to the yearly Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival in Harbour City with a room package that provides guests free passes to the celebration.
The Wine and Dine room offering of the Marco Polo Hotels-Hong Kong, from bookings from Sept. 1-Nov. 2, 2019 and stays from Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2019, comes with two sets of premium festival pass. Each set includes one complimentary entry ticket, four wine tokens, two food tokens, and a plastic tasting glass.
Hong Kong’s culinary festival, which serves world class food and drinks from around the world at the Central Harbourfront, is a popular event among tourists.

New General Manager
During the dinner at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu sponsored by the Marco Polo Hotels-Hong Kong group, guests were introduced to new General Manager Dalip Singh who joined the team’s trip to the Philippines.
A press statement released during the event said he has been newly promoted by Wharf Hotels from Hotel Manager to General Manager. His new tasks include overseeing the three Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong.

Mr. Singh joined Marco Polo in December last year for the three cluster properties. Before joining Wharf Hotels, he was managing director of KOP Properties responsible for strategic growth and positioning of the company.
He is a seasoned hotelier with more than two decades of experience. He has held senior management positions with reputable hotel groups, including The Ritz Carlton and Dusit hotels in his native Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai.
