With people preferring to dine out safely, Cebu’s Ayer Lechon opened its 13th restaurant in an al fresco setting at Il Corso Mall in Cebu City’s South Road Properties.

General Manager Mandy Carlos said they can accommodate 40 people at the company’s newest branch in compliance with public health restrictions.

He added during the opening in Cebu’s Ayer Lechon in Il Corso last Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, that it was the third branch opened during the COVID-19 pandemic following two others in the highland areas in Busay and Babag Dos.

“We serve authentic Cebuano lechon. Ang among aim is the tenderness, juiciness, and crispiness of the lechon. We follow the traditional Cebuano way of cooking, using simple ingredients,” he explained.

Authentic Cebuano lechon

Aside from traditional Cebuano lechon for solo and group orders, Ayer’s Lechon Il Corso has quite a selection in the menu. It also serves lechon paksiw, sinigang na lechon, lomi with lechon toppings, pork barbecue, spicy belly, boneless bangus, ngohiong, and pancit malabon, among others. For now, the branch is open from 3:00-10:00 p.m. daily.

According to Carlos, what makes Ayer’s Lechon different is the roasting technique that ensures the consistent and quality taste of the brand’s roasted pig.

Although it only has branches in Cebu, Ayer’s Lechon started door-to-door delivery in Manila just recently. Another plan is to open another branch in the modernized Carbon Public Market.
