Leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) who will be attending the summit in the Philippines will return home with a piece of Cebuano ingenuity: the Caraboom, a non-electronic amplifier made of rattan and other indigenous Philippine materials. You can use the Caraboom to amplify the sound of your phone.

The Caraboom was designed by Cebu-based furniture manufacturer and exporter Pacific Traders & Manufacturing Corporation and “showcases world-class Filipino artistry and innovation,” Smart Communications said in a press statement.
