In keeping with a long-standing tradition, the Bamboo Bay Community marked the beginning of the season with the recent lighting of a unique Christmas tree.

This year’s Christmas set-up in Bamboo Bay is a tableau of the nativity scene: a big star lighting a newborn Jesus Christ lying on the manger surrounded by the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, and the three kings.

“The heart of our celebration is Jesus Christ. The lights remind us of our Savior who is the source of all light, of home, joy, love, and peace especially at this time,” Engineer Deryl Vargas, Bamboo Bay Condo Corp. President, said in his welcome message.

Unit owners came together for the simple and meaningful tree lighting ceremony and were entertained by Christmas carols performed by The Quartet and a dance presentation by the Play Music Dance Crew.

As the world faces a crisis of unprecedented proportions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Christmas celebration offers hope that “we will come out of this a strong, hopeful, and resilient” community, according to Vargas.

The Bamboo Bay Community grounds and open areas are now decked out in colorful Christmas lights and decorated with lanterns and other ornaments.
