Advanced developer capabilities and innovative new apps
Since Fitbit launched its App Gallery in late 2017, its growing global community of more than 44,000
developers will now have access to more advanced capabilities, including a new Exercise API that makes it faster and easier to create, build and innovate more complex, high-quality apps for Fitbit smartwatch users. A new Scientific API helps developers and researchers perform advanced data processing through a more efficient collection of math, statistical and digital signal processing functions.
Developers can now use their own algorithms when building health and fitness apps, in order to create more intricate apps in less time, and can easily record custom exercise sessions on the Fitbit platform. Evolution of SYKES Cebu through Dance
One of the most entertaining segment of the Rockapalooza celebration was the Employee Dance Competition.
Seven groups delighted the audience with presentations that traced the evolution of dance through the years.
SYKESers showcased jazz and swing of the 1930s and 1940s, twist of the 1950s, break dancing of the 1980s, hip hop of the 1990s, and current dance moves in a flurry of outfit changes and rhythmic twirls.
This resembled the evolution and continuous growth of SYKES Cebu, from humble beginnings to making its mark as one of the leading BPO in the country.
Dance is definitely part of the rich Filipino culture as presented by Team R2BU, the grand champion, in their presentation. The team incorporated the milestones of SYKES Cebu into their dance in an upbeat, colorful, and dynamic rendition.

Clad in black and leather ensembles, SYKESers brought a festive rockstar atmosphere to the of Waterfront Hotel halls. Rockstars for a night, they got to jam with Ely Buendia and Jason Fernandez as they rocked the night away with their OPM hits and own renditions of the classic rock songs.

From September 14-16, SM will once again fill stacks with good finds at up to 70 percent off in prices. But what is it that makes this sale the biggest north of Cebu?

1. Freebies for early birds
It always pays to come early and, in this case, SM City Consolacion will reward early shoppers with freebies that will satisfy morning cravings.

Thousands of SYKEsers turned up for the celebration in Cebu that kicked off with a parade filled with the team banners of RYBU Blue Lions, SG&A White Warriors, CSBU Red Transformers, DBBU Pink Panther, MLBU Green Stallions, JNBU Black Immortals, and AMBU Gold Eagles.
The company’s annual Sports Fest and Family Day is aimed at promoting camaraderie, unity, and a healthier lifestyle among its employees.
This year’s SYKES Sportsfest theme is “Supremacy,” which fits with the company ideals to continue to push talents to become the leader in their respective crafts and fields, said Sykes Asia, Inc. Branding and Communications Director Cecile Venancio.
Grand entrance for SYKES Cebu head
SYKES employees and their families packed the University of the Southern Philippines (USP), venue of the Cebu event last May 6, 2018. The Sportsfest and Family Day in Manila was held at the Ynares Sports Arena and happened in a day before the celebration in Cebu.
Organizers prepped a grand entrance for SYKES Cebu Head and Vice President for Area Operations & Shared Services John Sneed.
The SYKES executive arrived aboard a military jeep and was joined by soldiers from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Cebu.
Immediately after Sneed opened the Sportsfest and Family Day, military officers led participants on an Army Dozen Exercise, which consisted of 12 easy yet helpful exercises that served as a warmup for the day’s activities.

Celebrity guests in Manila
It was also a fun day in Manila for SYKEsers as teams vie for the grand award in the first ever headdress competition dubbed “Crowning Glory.”
With participants having only recycled materials, creating an entry was certainly a test of creativity.
Celebrities dropped in on the celebration. Loud cheers greeted Jak Roberto who joined the revelry and delighted the crowd with a song number. In the later part of the event, CCP Bobcats Cheerleading Team and the UST Yellow Jackets Drumline awed the audience with their heart-stopping stunts and more.
Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Cordoves with UAAP and ABS-CBN Sports Anchor Martin Javier hosted the event.
