Ford Philippines is offering the Ford Territory in Titanium+ and Trend variants, with a host of features and driver-assist technologies standard in both variants.
Ford was deeply involved, through its Ford Design Studio in Melbourne, Australia, in the development of the Ford Territory’s contemporary appearance and look. The Ford DNA is evident in the exterior and interior, following the same design principles of Ford SUVs.
The Ford Territory has also been rigorously tested in its ride, handling and NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) levels at Ford’s testing centers in Nanjing, China and at the Geelong Proving Grounds in Melbourne, Australia to ensure it meets Ford’s stringent engineering and quality standards. These tests also gave the Ford Territory a finely-tuned Ford suspension, which is set for exceptional ride comfort and refinement.
Meanwhile, the Ford Territory’s engine was closely designed with Ford engineers in Europe to further develop the EcoBoost concept, giving it great power and efficiency, along with lower maintenance requirements and costs.
Powering the Ford Territory is a 1.5L EcoBoost engine mated to a CVT transmission with Sport mode that delivers 143PS and 225NM of torque, balancing power and fuel efficiency. The Cathay Pacific Group today announced that its regional airline, Cathay Dragon, will launch a four-times-weekly service to Davao City from October 28. The new route, the only non-stop flight between Hong Kong and Davao City, will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The Cathay Pacific Group has served the Philippines since 1946, Cathay Pacific’s inaugural year of operations. Davao City will be its fourth destination in the country, complementing existing services to Manila, Cebu and Clark.

“From Heart to Platter with Chef Tatung” begins August 24 at The Original Pino, where diners get to enjoy the cooking of one of the most sought after chefs in the Philippines on top of the restaurant’s popular menu.
Viewers of ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda know Chef Tatung as the resident chef and presenter of the cooking segment “Kwentong Kawali,” where he imparts his love and knowledge of Filipino cuisine.
A Manila-based Cebuano, he is well-known for his passion for Philippine cuisine and the restaurants which he founded, namely Tatung’s in Quezon City, Chef Tatung in Taguig, and Agos, which opens soon at the SM Mall of Asia. He was one of only two Filipinos who joined some of the best chefs in the world at the Madrid Fusion 2016.
His love for Filipino cooking finds fruition in his first book, “Philippine Cookery: From Heart to Platter,” which is currently on the National Bookstore Bestseller List.
Here, he delves into the heart of his native cuisine by showing how to cook Filipino through basic cooking methods—steaming, grilling, sautéing, frying, curing, among many techniques.

The country’s biggest summer music festival, the 2016 Ipanema Summer Sunscream, is taking place on May 21 in the Green Lagoon Park in Compostela, Cebu.
Top-billed in the event are Filipino rockstar Bamboo Mañalac, actress Bela Padilla, and international club DJs Jason Dewey (USA) and Danny Kay (UK).
Four of the country’s best bands, < S >andwich, Pedicab, Gracenote and Powerspoonz, are set to play during the event. Manila’s Katsy Lee and Tip Fucoy front the line-up of seventeen of the country’s best DJs.
Ipanema Summer Sunscream pool party
The Summer Sunscream signature pool party will kick off at 12:00 noon. The foam party will happen simultaneously with the evening concert.
Now on its 9th year, the event will also include two sports events, the Dip & Dash Aquathlon and Beach Volleyball Tournament, both presented by Rider Sandals.
