Phoneography Cebu, a group of mobile phone photographers, will be celebrating its 2nd year anniversary this month and will be launching the first-ever phone photography exhibit on August 21 to 28 at the Cyberzone of SM Seaside City Cebu. The exhibit will feature top photos curated by Cebu’s top photographers.

The opening ceremonies on August 21 will start at one in the afternoon with invited guests from the Department of Tourism and SM executives cutting the ceremonial ribbon. A short program will follow where winning phone photographers will be awarded after their month-long Subang Sugbo photo contest, which was announced on their Facebook page.

Photography workshops

Workshops on photography will follow with top Cebu photographers and fashion bloggers as resource persons. Albert Pedrosa, Alex Badayos, Victor Kintanar, Cebu fashion bloggers Doyskie and Marco, Mike Perez, Gerard Pareja and founders Crisanto Etorma and Noel Villaflor are some of the resource persons of the week-long workshops to be conducted after the opening and in the afternoon of August 23, 25 and 27 at the Cyberzone area.

A mobile phone photo contest during the opening ceremonies will test the audience’s skills and artistic abilities in capturing photos using mobile phones. Cash prices and gift certificates will be given by the management of SM Seaside City Cebu for the top three best photos.
