This Christmas, Cebu beach resort Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark has a simple wish and that is to to lighten and brighten lives.

As the resort marked the start of the Christmas season by lighting up its tree last Friday, December 4, it treated 30 disadvantaged kids from the Home Care Foundation in Lapu-Lapu City to a day of fun and treats.

“This year marks a good year as business is doing well. And it brings us a smile to be able to give back and share our blessings,” said Jpark chief executive officer Jason Uy.

He added that the resort, especially the Waterpark, is a haven for children but not every kid has had a chance to experience the Jpark fun.

Uy said he was very happy to welcome to kids from the Home Care Foundation to Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark.

Aside from a day of fun at the Waterpark, the kids received Christmas gifts from the resort during the tree-lighting ceremony.

Memorable Christmas

Providing entertainment during the event were the soulful voices of the Angelicum Children’s Choir as they sang popular Christmas songs and performances by the dance group Amigos.

“I hope you enjoyed your day with us. We hope we have made your Christmas memorable. And thank you for you have already fulfilled our Christmas wish. I know you will agree with me if I say that Christmas is meaningful when you are able to make other people happy,” he added.

Home Care Foundation kids presented a surprise number and relayed their thanks for an unforgettable day through a song.
